Rachel Murphy has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, Toto , went through last weekend. Rachel says that a hairdresser taped Toto r's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Toto r became bloody and upset.
Rachel recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Wow! My Dog is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
Rachel immediately took Toto to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse. San Mateo’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.
Rachel described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas - a Wow! My Dog client - posted a Yelp comment detailing how his pets had been returned to him unwell or injure. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.
Bad Review
Wow! My Dog, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. Rachel shared: "Juliann told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Juliann claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."
Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered click here but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. She quickly responded that Wow! My Dog was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
